HIGHLIGHT GETS GREEN LIGHT!

WE DID IT!!The Conservative Led Coalition at Hartlepool Borough Council delivered a unanimous vote for Highlight Leisure Centre at full council tonight.

At Finance and Policy Committee on 18th September 2023, Labour Councillors voted 3 to 2 against - with Conservative Coalition Councillors voting unanimously for the development.Inflation and material costs had caused and increase in how much the build would be and this was unfortunate but unavoidable. The Conservative Coalition determined that the town absolutely needs and deserves this facility and worked out that there were ways to ensure the finance could be achieved to get Highlight built. And that's what we did tonight!We will break ground in November 2023!
