Place
Hartlepool grew based on the strategy of Hartlepool Conservatives and we have laid the foundations to make Hartlepool a destination not only for tourism, but also for inward investment to help create jobs - something that we are committed to.
We have delivered on Net Zero, Destination Management, Tall Ships, Highlight Leisure Centre, The Northern Film and TV Studios alongside the new Production Village - and much more!
Regeneration
One of the things we have championed is regeneration and the last £115m (set to return £300m revenue) that was signed off before we left Council leadership was Highlight Leisure Centre, set to open in the Summer/Autumn of 2025. We were committed to ensuring the new Civil Engineering and Health & Social Care Academies opened too, both of which are up and running and are giving people of ages 16+ the absolute best start in engineering and care.
Community Pride
Conservatives are active in the community all year round and we have some fantastic members who always find time to help. Last year, we supported a number of families who were struggling and we are a proud contributor to the Big Town Tidy Up group who have a fantastic impact on every neighbourhood in Hartlepool.
Events that make a difference
We brought one of the largest and most successful Tall Ships Races to Hartlepool in 2023 with some fantastic ships, amazing volunteers on and off the boats along with celebrity visits from people like Savannah Marshall - Undisputed World Super Middle Weight Champion Boxer.
We have seen incredible events since 2023 over at Seaton Reach with bands such as Bastille, Kaiser Chiefs, Feeder and Heather Small all bringing huge numbers of people from outside and inside of Hartlepool all encouraged by our leadership.
